Matcha latte bez cukru w domu — przepis z mango i mlekiem kokosowym

Sugar-free matcha latte at home — recipe with mango and coconut milk

Preparation time: 5 minutes | Serving: 250–300 ml | Level: easy

Are you looking for a sugar-free matcha latte recipe that tastes like it's from a good coffee shop, but contains no white sugar or industrial syrups? This recipe is for you.

The natural sweetness of mango purée, the creaminess of coconut milk, and YEM matcha with a green foam on top — ready in 5 minutes, without any special barista equipment.

Why is this matcha latte recipe special?

Most homemade matcha latte recipes rely on flavored syrups or added sugar. The problem is that sugar neutralizes exactly what you drink matcha for — stable energy without glucose spikes and the effects of L-theanine.

In this recipe, the sweetness comes exclusively from mango purée. This is pure fruit purée — natural sugar from fruit that works completely differently than white sugar or glucose-fructose syrup.

Ingredients (250–300 ml serving)

  • 1 sachet of YEM Matcha (premium quality matcha with coconut milk)

  • 50 ml water

  • Ice cubes

  • 120 ml coconut milk

  • 60 ml sugar-free mango purée — baby food jar, available at any supermarket

  • 50 ml whipping cream (30%) — for the foam

  • 2 fresh strawberries — optional, for decoration

How to make sugar-free matcha latte step-by-step

Step 1 — Prepare the mango base (30 seconds)

Pour 60 ml of mango purée into the bottom of a tall glass. Add ice cubes and 120 ml of coconut milk. Stir gently — the base should fill the glass to about ⅔ of its height.

Why baby food purée? Baby mango jars are pure purée without sugar or preservatives. You can find them in any Biedronka, Lidl, or Carrefour for a few zlotys. They are perfect for wellness drinks precisely because they have zero unnecessary additives.

Step 2 — Brew YEM matcha (30 seconds)

In a separate cup, pour the contents of the YEM sachet. Add 50 ml of hot water. Whisk vigorously for 10 seconds until the matcha is completely dissolved and a delicate foam appears.

Leave about 1 tablespoon of matcha — it will be used for the cream foam.

Step 3 — Pour matcha into the glass

Slowly pour the prepared matcha into the glass with the mango base — pouring along the side of the glass will preserve the layered effect. Leave 2–3 cm of space for the foam.

Step 4 — Whisk matcha foam (2 minutes)

Pour 50 ml of whipping cream (30%) into a separate container. Add the remaining tablespoon of matcha. Whisk with a frother for about 2 minutes until the cream thickens and turns into a green, light foam.

Step 5 — Finishing touch

Spoon the matcha foam on top of the drink. Decorate with sliced strawberries. Serve immediately.

Why does sugar-free matcha latte work differently than the coffee shop version?

Matcha latte from a coffee shop for 25–30 PLN is, in most cases: low-quality culinary powder, a pump of vanilla or caramel syrup, and sweetened plant milk. The result? A quick energy boost, and an hour later — a crash.

Premium quality sugar-free matcha works the opposite way. L-theanine — an amino acid present in matcha — supports alpha brain waves and ensures that caffeine energy is released gradually, without the "caffeine crash" effect. There are no glucose spikes because there is no white sugar.

That's why sugar-free matcha is not just a trendy drink — it's a different mechanism of action.

Frequently asked questions about homemade matcha latte

Can you make matcha latte without a frother? Yes. Use a bamboo whisk (chasen) or a kitchen whisk. A frother is convenient but not essential.

What plant milk works best with matcha? Coconut milk enhances the tropical character of this recipe. If you prefer a more neutral taste — "barista" oat milk froths well and gently complements matcha.

Can mango purée be replaced with something else? Yes — passion fruit purée or mango-banana are other sugar-free versions. Avoid ready-made purées with added sugar or juice.

Try YEM Matcha at home

YEM are sachets of premium quality matcha and coconut milk — ready in 10 seconds, without weighing grams and without the need for special equipment. This recipe works best with YEM because the matcha is already of ceremonial quality and ground without bitterness.
